"GodRays" Node is buggy?

I am not sure if it is just me, but when I use the “GodRays” node as a post fx node deactivate it afterwards, the viewport looks pretty strange:

The viewport even flickers while changing values within that node. But deactivating or deleting it seems to break the viewport completely.

Thanks a lot for the screenshot and explanation.
That indeed seems very buggy. And I’ve tried to reproduce it, but it seems to work on my end.
One difference could be the material applied to the point, or maybe some camera parameters. Or something else entirely, hard to tell.
If you can, it would help if you could create a scene in the online editor and paste your nodes there, then send me the link. or send me a zip of your local project, whichever is easier. I should then be able to take a deeper look.

(and if you are using the local editor, don’t forget the copy/paste fix I did the other day may not allow you to paste from the local editor to the online one, without granting the clipboard permission in your browser)
